This is one of my all time, favorite albums of my life here
GRACELAND…….attributed to Paul Simon………
As child, in my elementary school
We went to the library
I think
Once a week
And we could do what we wanted
Read any book available
[I loved books on the universe…btw…..
Space travel….other planets….
other realities…
I still do….smile….
What can I say?
That was me……..and still is….lol
But we could also check out vinyl record albums
this was back in the sixties….
(am I that old?
yes, I am…lmao)
And listen to them…..
I loved Simon and Garfunkel
And the Beatles……..
and others as well]
This album
I can see now
Meant more……..
I listen to this song now
And I understand
That it meant more than I thought it did at the time of its release
A lot of things have come to have meaning to their future
Our present
At this time
{ask Seth McFarlane
of Family Guy fame….
but we’ll get to that in a minute
muahahahahaha}
And this is one of them……
As far as I am concerned, anyway….
And so
While I working on the post for this night/day/whatever
and doing whatever I am bid to do
BY THE WILL OF THE ONE
Please to enjoy this
As I have for these many years…….:
Here are the actual lyrics:
The Boy in the Bubble
Paul Simon
It was a slow day,
And the sun was beating
On the soldiers by the side of the road,
There was a bright light,
A shattering of shop windows
The bomb in the baby carriage
Was wired to the radio,
These are the days of miracle and wonder,
This is the long distance call,
The way the camera follows us in slo-mo
The way we look to us all,
The way we look to a distant constellation
That’s dying in a corner of the sky,
These are the days of miracle and wonder
And don’t cry baby don’t cry
Don’t cry
It was a dry wind,
And it swept across the desert
And it curled into the circle of birth,
And the dead sand,
Falling on the children
The mothers and the fathers
And the automatic earth,
These are the days of miracle and wonder,
This is the long distance call,
The way the camera follows us in slo-mo
The way we look to us all o-yeah,
The way we look to a distant constellation
That’s dying in a corner of the sky,
These are the days of miracle and wonder
And don’t cry baby don’t cry
Don’t cry
It’s a turn-around jump shot
It’s everybody jump start
It’s, every generation throws a hero up the pop charts,
Medicine is magical and magical is art think of
The Boy in the Bubble
And the baby with the baboon heart
And I believe
These are the days of lasers in the jungle,
Lasers in the jungle somewhere,
Staccato signals of constant information,
A loose affiliation of millionaires
And billionaires and baby,
These are the days of miracle and wonder,
This is the long distance call,
The way the camera follows us in slo-mo
The way we look to us all o-yeah,
The way we look to a distant constellation
That’s dying in a corner of the sky,
These are the days of miracle and wonder
And don’t cry baby don’t cry
Don’t cry don’t cry
